This is a single track from a full length project I'm working on right now. I warp samples from old country western cassettes and rearrange them to improvise and create new pieces. While most of the tracks lean towards the soundscape side of things, a lot of them find a musical groove and seem to take the shape of songs lost in the ghostly etherealism of the lush tape samples. This particular piece is of that sort. I managed to arrange a particular set of tape samples into a loop that haunted me and tugged at my heart strings in such a way that the additional layers and vocal melodies presented themselves naturally, as was the usual M.O. for these pieces.
